Hey mom and dad! Sammy here! Spencerville’s been a ball. Literally, been chasing ’em all over. Found comfort in Buddy’s familiar stuffing between gnaws. Been exploring – the icy Saskatoon Summit, to the sandy Brown Boxer Beach. My palette’s been spoiled at Pup-Tizers & Whiskers and Wings, though Pup-Tastic Pizza? Not impressive. Shopping’s cool at Canine Couture, pawsome at The Pawfect Training Center, except for the baths at The Pampered Pooch Salon. Not cool. Got myself a crew here: Fat Russell, Fenway and Marley. Still have issues with vacuums and ear cleaning, and the cat prodding hobby hasn’t subsided. But, it’s fun here. Miss you two. – Sammy

Once upon a time, in the idyllic town of Spencerville, where the air itself seemed to hum with jovial vibrancy, I, Sampson the Bulldog, led a rollicking existence.

Nothing sparked more joy in my heart than the bounce of the prized tennis ball long thrown, or the cozy presence of my stuffed Buddy, his stitches almost blending in my gnawing embrace.

Life tends to be an exciting wonderland when Spencerville is your playground. The Siberian Summit captured my adventurous nature, the icy peaks freezing around my drooling taste buds, while the soft sands of Brown Boxer Beach served as cushion beneath my heaving body, as I majestically sprawled out under the sun.

Next, came the gastronomic delights served at the most famed restaurants in town. Pup-Tizers, with their mouthwatering chicken platter, were a heaven, an antidote to any spells of loneliness. And the vanilla cookies served at Whiskers and Wings? Simply divine! Pup-Tastic Pizza was third on my list only due to the absence of either chicken or cookies in the menu. And I must say, the joint could use a good ban on pretzels and bananas, the sworn enemies of my palate.

The Spencerville shopping experience, made available at Canine Couture Clothing, The Pawfect Training Center and The Pampered Pooch Salon were where we, the good residents of this spirited world, groomed our egos. But, mind you, I’ve always been, and always will be, completely inalienable to the infernal idea of a bath.

While the wonders of Spencerville took up my days, my heart was filled by the companionship of my dearest friends. Fat Russell, my fellow English Bulldog, who shared my love for a robust life, and loyal Fenway along with mischievous Marley at home created an atmosphere of robust companionship.

Despite my propensity to prod the patience of a few cats that crossed paths with me, my ardent loyalty and jovial nature embraced everyone around me. I did have an issue with the dreaded vacuum, subjected myself grudgingly to the abhorred ear-cleaning routine, allowed my aversion to the vet to be known, and groaned in annoyance at the pesky rain. I let my obstinate personality shine bright—after all, a bulldog’s got to own up to his legacy.

Most of all, my life in the mythical Spencerville reverberated with an understanding of the promise of an eventual return to my human family, the thumping of their heartbeats resounding in mine, their memory threaded delicately into the fabric of my dreams. As for my reality, I, Sampson, a stubborn yet warm-hearted resident of Spencerville, continued to find joy, companionship, and new adventures. With winged hope in my heart and unending love, I excitedly waited for that imminent, glorious reunion. Until then, there’s a tennis ball that needs chasing, so excuse me!
