You won’t believe what happened today! Russell fetched me in a tizzy just as I was soaking up some sun at Boxer Beach ☀️. His Fetch-N-Bites chicken delight went MIA! Tried brushing him off, but his genuine concern got the detective in me biting. I sniffed out the scene at Fetch-N-Bites (quite the chaos, btw 🙄). Then this peculiar whiff led me to Poodle pond…with banana peels everywhere 🍌, a classic trick!

Remember King, the banana lover? Those peels led me straight to him, bellied up on his king-sized bed, surrounded by sated joy & incriminating evidence. Guilty as charged!🕵️‍♀️ Unfazed paws-on-ground interrogation got the job done. Town’s hailing me now. 😄

“The case of the missing Fetch-N-Bites Chicken Delight began as every other glorious morning in the creamy white Spencerville sky. Pup-Tastic Pizza had their delivery vans revving, ready to dispatch breakfast pies across town. I, Dot, your humble narrator and part-time investigator, was sunbathing on the sandy stretches of Boxer Beach, awaiting what the day would unfold. My band of merry friends, Fenway, Pearl, Zelda Millie had beaten me to the first dip of the day.

“I got a case for ya, Dot! The Fetch-N-Bites chicken delight, it’s…it’s gone!” Russell, a stressed out Golden Retriever, stopped in his tracks, dragging Tanner who was soaking wet.

I snickered, taking one last gulp of the salty sea air before shifting into detective mode. “Nice try, Russell. You know how I feel about that place. Plus, being a detective isn’t as simple as chasing your tail.” I rose to my feet, sauntering to The Groom Room for my morning grooming ritual.

“Seriously, Dot. It’s chaos in there. They’ve got no clue how the chicken disappeared,” Russell genuinely concerned.

The mystery of the missing Fetch-N-Bites chicken caught my fancy. As we ventured to the chaotic scenes of Fetch-N-Bites, Spencer, Chloe, and Tanner trotted behind – my loyal, adventure-thirsty bunch, always welcoming a good sniffing challenge.

Fetch-N-Bites with its chewed signage and well-thumbed pet menu was a mess. Seems they weren’t kidding. The Chicken Delight, the daily special, was missing. The whiff of something else, however, was in the air. Bananas. No, I wasn’t going for a second helping.

Upon sniffing, I found banana peels leading to the Poodle pond—a classic trick. But who? Banana’s not a specialty here. Redirecting my focus, I recollected something. King, fond of bananas, used to leave a similar trail back home. I hadn’t seen King in a while but I knew where to look.

With a spark in the eyes and nostrils filled with banana essence, I led my team to the Western Fawn Pug Palace, only a few tails away from the crime scene. And as expected, having a grand time on a king-sized bed, was King, the guilty party, surrounded by Chicken Delight bones and banana peels.

“Oh boy. Dot, I didn’t think it would lead to…,” King began, but his remorseful eyes said the rest. Mission accomplished.

The rest of the day was tame compared to our morning. I got a discount coupon from Fetch-N-Bites and the town hailed their local pet detective. But come evening, I retired to my favorite spot on Boxer Beach, awaiting the next Spencerville adventure.”
