Hey Dad,

Just another day in my non-Earthly Spencervillian life. You won’t believe it, but my favourite squeaky toy actually led me on a wild chase across town. Even bumped into Max, but had to leave with a woof as the pursuit was on. Whiskers was up to his usual tricks but couldn’t meddle in this sacred chase. The finale, you ask? My toy and I inked a peace treaty at Pug Palace. I often miss you all and recall our Earth times, even that crunch of raw carrots. Don’t worry, not only am I becoming a splendid fetch player, but this Bulldog is also growing a tad wiser each day. Much love, your Spencervillian Bulldog. 🐾🐾

The sun rose on a perfectly normal non-Earth day in Spencerville. As I stretched out on the velvety grass of Siberian Summit, my squinty, intellectual eyes grazed over the sparkling waters of Black Bulldog Bay. Considering myself an epicurean, I was off to my favoured brunch spot, Bark ‘n’ Roll. You see, Bark ‘n’ Roll caters to our evolved palette here in Spencerville. They’ve just got a knack for knowing what tickles a canine’s taste bud, and by canine, mostly I mean me.

The journey to the diner went quite unexpectedly when I chanced upon that slippery, bright-yellow mischief-maker, my squeaky toy, teasing me from a corner of Fetch! Toys and Treats. So, naturally honouring the chaser in me, an exhilarating game of tag ensued, my squeaky nemesis giving me a sportingly good run all across town, quite literally.

During the chase, who should I bump into (quite literally) but Max. Now, Max is akin to the Spencerville version of Shakespeare’s poetic soul trapped in a Labrador’s body. Slightly disoriented, with the unmistakable scent of Sniff ‘n’ Snack on his breath, Max bumbled an apology, suggesting at the same time that we catch up over a bowl of kibble at Pup-Tizers. A splendid idea. On any other day, that is. But today, the chase was on! And so, with a hearty laugh and a playful woof bidding Max farewell, my squeaky ball and I ventured forth, leaving a baffled Labrador in our wake.

What’s life without a little drama, eh? Perched on a roof, just as the chase neared its climax, I spotted Whiskers, the sly sprite hidden behind a facade of feline innocence. Whiskers, you see, the on-again-off-again villain in our story, simply couldn’t resist a good chase. But not today. The chase was sacred. Between the ball and me.

Ah! The bustling streets of Spencerville, a haven for pets and our whimsical antics. The familiarity and joy of this chase reflect my days on Earth. I miss my human family back there, and, dare I say, even the raw crunchy carrots they forced me to snack on. But, just like that squeaky toy in my jaws, they are with me. A bulldog never forgets, you see.

A wise bulldog once said, “All chases must end.” And so, mine concluded, the squeaky ball and me reaching a truce under the amber sky at Pug Palace’s eccentric public square. Who knows what’s in store tomorrow? A run-in with Whiskers, Max’s oddball philosophical nuggets, or perhaps a tragic stumble upon a raw carrot? Spencerville is my gift, a serenely splendid sandbox within which I get to wrestle the best and worst of myself, every single day. With the memories of my human family tucked safely in my heart, each day is an adventure. An adventure leading me to become a better Bulldog. For them. For me. For Spencerville.
