Ace PawWord Story
“Hey Mom! Ace here. 😃 Had another adventurous day in Spencerville. Caught squirrels, teased the mailman, devoured divine Pawsome Pancakes with cheese, plus beach fun at Upper Black Bulldog Bay. Caffrey pranked me with squeaky toys, but I love him; wouldn’t trade him for any PB jar. Dreaded bath and veggies tried to spoil my day, but nothing can! 🐾 Sang with pack at Eastern White Westie Woods, played at Fetch! Toys and Treats, admired art at Furry Friends Gallery (does Monet taste muffin-like? 🤔). Faced fetch versus food dilemma, but I aced it! 😉 Now tackling another squirrel claiming my backyard. Wish me luck! Over and out, Geronimo! 🐶” – Ace of Spades
My name is Ace. Yes, just Ace, like the high card in a game of poker, the adventurer of the skies, the solitary renegade. So, here’s the scoop – I have, in essence, mastered being a dog in this peculiar dog-friendly nook we call Spencerville. How amazing is that!
Every morning in Spencerville, I wake up in Upper Collie Canyon, utterly overcome by two intense sensations. One, the sudden exhilarating urge to sprint out and chase a squirrel or the mailman— purely a matter of daily whimsy, I assure you. And two, the gradual gnawing void in my stomach reminding me of the Manna from Heaven they prepare at Pawsome Pancakes. Cheese, oh, what I wouldn’t trade for a frolicsome dollop of cheese on a crisp pancake.
Speaking of frolics, ah, the beach! Sand and surf tucked away in Upper Black Bulldog Bay – an absolute Eden for me. Imagine a day filled with water-based shenanigans, chasing my tail without a care, and the quiet calm that envelops me as I take in the vast expanse of water before me. The best part? The squeaky toys that emerge out of nowhere. It’s my sneaky brother Caffrey’s idea of a prank, bless his heart. He can be a right pest, but I wouldn’t trade him for all the peanut butter in the world.
Oh, but the world isn’t all about peanut butter and prankster siblings. There are times when the universe and its oddities seem to conspire against me – bathtubs and vegetables, namely. I mean, who’d want to lose their body odor — that unique blend of sand, fresh air, and wet fur? Delightfully aromatic if you ask me. And as for the topic of vegetables, they might as well be classed as an existential crisis.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I love Spencerville with all of my heart – seventy pounds of solid canine joy heart, mind you. The howls in the Eastern White Westie Woods where we sing in canine-tongues, entirely cryptic and melodious. The unrestrained play at Fetch! Toys and Treats, which is essentially doggy heaven. The Furry Friends Art Gallery that tickles the intellectual in me, even if I can’t distinguish between a Monet and a muffin.
Ah, I see a conundrum ahead as fetch time and mealtime are clashing. How shall I navigate this coming of age dilemma? Perhaps I’ll start with the fetch and work my appetite. There we go, problem solved!
Ace, the storyteller, navigating her way in a dog’s world. Isn’t life just ruff-iculously interesting? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I spy a squirrel who seems to think it owns my backyard. Times like these, I ask myself…what would Caffrey do?
See you in Spencerville, my friends. Life’s just one big bark in the park over here. Geronimo!
The End.
