Sammy PawWord Story
Hey Mom,
Just thought I should tell you about my life-changing day in Spencerville. Started out hitting the beach, indulged at Doggy Delight, ended up being a hero. Sorted out a couple of bad bulldogs at the pet store and earned myself a name. Officially guardian of the town. No biggie.
Woofs and tail wags,

It was a spicy morning, I tell you, the day my buddy Sammy landed paws first in Spencerville. A place, they say, for companions who’ve taken a doggone fleabag step from our typical world. Less sadness than rousing delight filled Sammy, knowing the secret call of the place from the constant whispers of old tails. I reckon, what with his unmatched love for peanut butter and company, Sammy was eager to sniff round his new locality.
Sammy, creamy as a virgin canvas specked with daubs of jolly good dollops of peanut butter, made his way first to the Beagle Beach. Salty breeze ruffling his fur, he kicked dust flying, happily chasing tennis balls, one then another. You could see it, the Jack Russell in him took the bait of the untamed beach life, better than honey to bear.
But, oh, bless my boots! for it was for the Doggy Delight that Sammy picked up his ears, twitched that wet little nose. Up Benny’s Hill and down Spotty’s Lane, past the Southern Golden Retriever River, the clang of Doggy Delight’s dinner bell was the real music for Sammy’s ears. Ain’t no door yet built that could stand between Sammy and a whiff of a good meal. So, he barreled down the cobblestone path whisking any lonesome thought away. Gobble and slurp! Right from the dogbone stew to the peanut butter cups, Sammy devoured it all.
Course, living a life without trouble would be as dull as a door nail! Trouble came knocking when Sammy nosed his way to South Poodle Pond. There, what we got here? A doggone heist in progress at The Fetching Feline Pet Emporium! A couple of bulldogs, known to be notorious for their quick paws, caught red-pawed. Sammy, blessed with bravery as he was with gluttony, faced them with a growl, despite his discomfort around adults.
It ended in a kerfuffle, but the Jack Russell and Beagle in Sammy couldn’t let injustice stand. They tangled, Sammy and the bulldogs, but the shaking of the fuzz on his back and the fire in his eyes told ‘em thieves they messed with the wrong dog.
After the hullaballoo settled down, Sammy had become the town’s hero and peace was restored in Spencerville, where there were wagging tails and wet noses once again. From then onwards, Sammy, that unique blend of Beagle and Jack Russell Terrier, became more than a simple town-pup, he was the guardian of Spencerville.
The End.
