It’s a place where every pet is a royal in their own right. And I’m gonna tell you about Russell – yeah, that Russell. The one with the white stripe, bulldog snorts and an iron-clad stubborn streak.

Our brindle ball of feistiness, the Khaleesi of K9 Kebabs – ahem, well for Russell, it’s more like the resident Cheesesteak aficionado, considering his partiality to finer food. Muggsy? His hand of the king, accompanying him everywhere, loyal as a pup could ever be. He’s got himself a little arsenal too; ‘Blue’, the frisbee – now that’s his version of a Valyrian steel.

I’ll take you through a regular day, you know, if any day can be called regular in the pet paradise of Spencerville. Russell’s day starts at the break of dawn in the Fawn Cream Maltese Meadow, squaring off for a hearty catch-the-frisbee with Fenway – the bulldog with sports in his veins. The sun hasn’t even fully risen, and these two are already triumphantly prancing around, each claiming victory!

Here comes Millie, hopping like a demented kangaroo through every leaf pile she can find and Barkley – with an accent as thick as my last Thanksgiving’s gravy – chronicling the day’s events. Around lunch, the squabble becomes more light-hearted, and Russell retreats to Pup-Tastic Pizza. The sight of a pizza never fails to rub the right end of his tail. Not even the fiercest of vacuum cleaners, or the most stubborn of ear cleanings, can ruin such divine dining ecstasy.

Russell’s kingdom didn’t come without rivalry. A charming golden retriever named Fuzzy, Russell’s very own Stannis Baratheon – conveniently, his sibling. Their battlefield? A tennis ball, and oh heavens, how they pursued it. This wasn’t merely a game of fetch. No, my friends, this was Russell’s Ph.D. in power politics.
