Vegas PawWord Story
“Hey Mom, Spencerville’s been pawsome! Training Center still gives me the chills, but the beach is my fav! Can’t beat a shrimp cocktail at Tail Waggers. Miss home though, especially you! P.S. Still hate tofu & vets. Woofs and wags from the top dog! – Lucky Vegas”
Well another day, another adventure in Spencerville. Vegas, that spirited fool of a boxer, was finding her own in Spencerville. Ain’t one thing about this place that didn’t hold wonders for her. It was all a-tail waggin’, energy soaring, fun and games. Only place I reckon she weren’t too fond of was The Pawfect Training Center. Her owners back on earth, they did spoil her rotten, so the notion of “training” weren’t sitting well with Vegas.
Now, Vegas ain’t never been picky ‘cept when tofu’s on her plate. She’d snarl her lips just as one would at the stale stench of a skunk. Oh, the horror in her eyes! Similar horror she’d sport at the mention of the vet. Poor thing hated vets as much as she hated tofu. Vet visits here were rare though. Happiness is the only prescription Spencervillians needed, and there was plenty to go around.
Being a boxer, you’d guess Boxer Beach would be her regular haunt. And you’d reckon right. The salt and sea, under the Spencervillian sun, nothing compared to it, not one bit. It was her own piece of paradise, where she was ain’t just a Boxer, but a beacon of joy too.
Her jaunts to Tail Waggers always were tales to tell. Her taste buds never did like anything but the shrimp cocktail – a delicacy only the likes of Tail Waggers knew how to craft. She’d lick her bowl clean, happier than a clam at high water, tail waggin’ to its own merry rhythm.
But Vegas weren’t a lone wolf out here, no-sir. She had her pack, a fine bunch they were. Sinatra, that Huskie, had wisdom in his eyes. He’d explore Spencerville with Vegas, sharing stories of earth, reminders of home. As for Fat Russell, boy his name did him justice. A bulldog so big, he could give Spencerville’s biggest boulders a run for their money. They’d play tug of war, wrestle, and run around Bulldog Bay, Vegas and Russell, quite the dynamic duo they were.
Nothing compared to the view from Eastern White Westie Woods. It made Vegas feel on top of the world, on top of her life. Seeing the distant honking streets of Spencervillian cities, she felt a pang of longing for her life back in the real world. But being here, surrounded by friends like Fat Russell and Sinatra, exploring places like Boxer Beach, Bulldog Bay, and indulging in shrimp cocktails at Tail Waggers, Vegas knew she was in a paradise of her own until she reunites with her human mom. Ain’t never a dull day in Spencerville, specially for a lively gal like Vegas, she made sure of it.
The End.
