Tara PawWord Story
“Hey Mom, solved a curious case today of a levitating Dental Dinosaur toy at Western Labradoodle Lake. It danced mid-air, thanks to a backyard melody and a blue jay’s call! Typical Spencerville mystery, more layers than a dog’s puzzle I bet. Eddie’s excitement? Off the charts. More tails, soon! – Terrible Tara Bull”
As in life, so in Spencerville, what intrigued me were not so much the esteemed establishments and foamy Yappy Yogurt milkshakes that delighted canines, although lemon and salmon were quite a zesty blend, but the peculiar happenings. With a tip of my snout to the sherbet sunset of Dalmatian Desert, I began another series of capers, prompted by my insatiable curiosity.
One morning, while enjoying a luxurious sunbath in my quarter-acre custom-built backyard, a glint from Western Labradoodle Lake piqued my interest. Now, you must understand that things don’t sparkle in Spencerville, especially not in a lake. Not being one for aquatic adventures, the idea of diving in to investigate was a tad too adventurous. Luckily, I didn’t have to, for as I stood there contemplating, out of nowhere, a Dental Dinosaur toy – seasoned travelers like me will recall its reputation as a dedicated tooth cleaner – swerved and swam in mid-air, defying the fundamental laws of physics. You’d think a toy could only float, but in Spencerville, stranger things have happened.
Shrugging, I grabbed Eddie, my compatriot in the investigating business. As we stood there, watching the toy levitate and dip over the surface of the lake, our intrigue was petted to the point of fascination. Was Spencerville not as quintessentially ordinary as we had been lead to believe?
While I dissected the nuances of the phenomenon, I noticed that the toy floated two inches northward whenever a particular tune played at the Sniff ‘n’ Snack. Is the melody the trigger, or is it the brilliant blue jay serenading from the South Siberian Summit?
Eddie, with his aquatic aversion, was surprisingly eager. As I pondered, he had already laid out the blueprints of the next day’s exploration. I couldn’t help but chuckle; the overly enthusiastic runs in his DNA.
Through unrelenting days of vigilant observation, curious sampling of the lake’s water (a task Eddie willingly delegated to me), and several ends of our tails stepped on by hurried passersby, we concluded – it was a simultaneous play of both the melody and the blue jay’s call that set the toy afloat.
“Well, if it’s the symphony of Spencerville,” Eddie smirked, “there’s another mystery solved by our incredible sleuth-dog team.”
But as we returned home that night, trudged past bored paintings of Canine Couture Clothing dogs, tails brought to life through Eddie’s lively recountant of ‘The Case of Lake Labradoodle Levitating Toy’ – my skepticism lingered.
In Spencerville, you see, stories play out like dog puzzles – in layers. And while the humble crunch of green beans filled our bellies that night, my loyal heart knew our yaps had not heard the end of this symphony.
