Let’s paint a picture one fine day, Rosie woke up to her usual frantic excitement. There wasn’t a day that goes by where she didn’t experience the joy of being Rosie. Scooping up her beloved rubber bone between her teeth, it’s off to Pawsburg she goes. Running down the road, her athletics belongs in East Bulldog Bay rather than the confines of the backyard. Paws pounding the pavement to the rhythm of her pounding heart, a bright-eyed journey from Beagle Beach to Siberian Summit opened up before her.

Pawsburg, a canine sanctuary that remains a secret moon to the human solar system. A place where dogs of all breeds and sizes run free, sniffing out sausages and chump chops from their pet-human barbecues, and chasing tales of adventures with their balls and Frisbees. A town only Rosie, and her fellow doggo ilk, understand.

Rosie’s journey always starts with Pup-Tizers, where she could be Rosie, in all bounced glory. Fortunate the Labrador was, possessing a stomach that could digest even the stubbornness of coal. If she was human, she’d be branding Pup-Tizers as her ‘usual haunt’. There, she savored the smoky flavors of salami strips, a breakfast to fuel the day’s exploits.

“Look who showed up, Miss Snowy Fur herself.” Baxter, the mirth-filled Pomeranian, welcomes Rosie on her entry to Doggy Delight, another eatery which doubles as the town gossip hall, located a stone’s throw from Siberian Summit. “Do you smell that? Trout tartare’s on the menu today.”

“Smells fishy to me,” Rosie retorts, a toothy grin displacing her breakfast-filled mouth.

Between the chow-downs and frolicking in the unseen corners, Rosie was a sleuth in the making. Her nose, just as effective as Sherlock’s magnifying glass, always sniffed out the canine conundrums in Pawsburg, from missing toys to finding the best chew bones hidden by forgetful pups. There wasn’t a mystery she didn’t want to unearth, a riddle she didn’t want to solve.

Speaking of riddles, one snapped her out of her giddy joy. Fred, a husky known across the neighborhood for his nervous demeanor, squatted in the corner of The Fetching Feline Pet Emporium, sans his favorite frisbee. “Sheesh, Fred. Dog up a bit!” Rosie admonishes, “Where’s your frisbee? The red one?”

Innocuous it may seem but to Fred, it was his priceless possession. Rosie, with her peculiar sleuthing gift, knew she isn’t sleeping tonight until the frisbee took its rightful place. A strange feeling crept into her bones – a mysterious adventure lies ahead, where every canine-story leads her to another, in an endless chain of paw-ppenings.

“I’m on the case.” she stated, her eyes glinting with the thrill of the chase. The biggest mystery of Pawsburg had just begun, and Rosie, the four-legged detective, was their only hope.

“A determined dog leads to a solved mystery” was a popular saying scribbled on Pawsburg’s welcome monument. Of course, the humans couldn’t read it – it was written in ancient Dogonian. But today, by way of heart and by way of her powerful senses, Rosie aimed not only to prove it but live it up with the promise of chicken rewards after every problem solved.
