Tanner PawWord Story
“Hey Mom, crazy night! Went on a wild fetch mission for Golden Bone at Silver Siberian Summit, met a spooky winged-snow-panther (Yikes!). But pals Russell, Millie, Lilly and Mayor Spencer turned up! We scared it off and got the bone. Town loved it! Call me ‘Summit Hero Tanner’ now. Always your brave boy, Tanner.”
Have you heard the tale of the fetch at Silver Siberian Summit? No? You need a jigger of fun rumbling in your veins to keep you cozy during these long nights, don’t you? Alright then, let me regale you about Tanner’s grand escapade, the one that sent shivers through the Spencerville’s marrow, that dark and stormy night.
It was the eve of Spencerville’s annual festival at Shih Tzu Stadium. The town was awash with excitement; furballs playing and prancing about while our Tanner, floppy ears alert, eyes gleaming with optimism, was tied up in a whirlwind of his own. He had volunteered to fetch the Golden Fetch Bone, the festival’s cornerstone symbol, kept majestically aloft Silver Siberian Summit.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, and the crescent moon reigned high, he set about his task. Tanner was a paragon of virtue, courage lacquered his soul, yet, he could almost taste the fear clicking on his tongue. The summit was deafening in its silence, a frozen graveyard encompassed by a carpet of twinkling crystals. It was aversion clawing in the depths of his psyche, battling his resolve to conquer his fears. He reminded himself, in the dankest of surrounding, loomed the brightest beacon of hope.
Scuttling noises pricked Tanner’s ears, making him wheel around and there it was – a shadowy creature unfurling itself from behind an icy sculpture. A horrendous hissing resonated through the air, chilling his blood. He choked back a whimper. Conflict clawed inside him, a need to rush for his safety, against the call of duty. Harnessing his courage, he managed to inch his way towards it.
The creature sprung forward, unfurling a winged-snow-panther looming large over Tanner. This was a situation no dog should have to witness! No siree. Yet, his senses sprang into a high alert, shoving his fear back into oblivion. A near-silent whimper escaped his lips, summoning a horde of figures from beneath the layers of snow around them. It was his band of merry beings, Russell, Millie, Lilly and our mayor, Spencer himself.
With resolute determination gleaming in their eyes, they fell upon the snow-panther, a cacophony of growls filling the darkened landscape. Stunned into submission, the creature slunk back, slithering its way back to the ice sculpture it once hid in. Gathering collective sighs of relief, they scaled the summit’s peak, the Golden Fetch Bone gleaming invitingly against the moon’s glow.
As we reveled in laughter and joy at the Shih Tzu Stadium, quite unbeknownst to the terror our canine friends had experienced, the sight of Tanner sashaying into the crowd, victorious, bearing world’s finest object of fetch, sent the crowd roaring into a riotous applause. To this day, the summit bears testament to their courage. Each time a pet gazes longingly towards the summit, towards the heavens above, they remember Tanner, whose courageous heart had woven a narrative of resilience and bravery into the legend of their time in Spencerville. And that wasn’t just another night; it was the night Tanner became a cherished hero.
The End.
