Vincent PawWord Story
Hey Mom and Dad,
Just a little update: Vincent aka your grandson, the Teddy Bear, has been shooing away aliens, swimming across rivers, and inspiring the whole of Spencerville. His love for pickles remains unmatched. Our mess in the kitchen remains, and yes, ear cleaning is still a battlefield. All in all, Blessed to have Vincent!
Love,
[Bear Cub]
Life was quiet for me before Vincent arrived, the kingpin Newfoundland, Bruin of Spencerville who guarded alien territories. He was black and white, white enough to put powder to shame, a coat of distinct mismatch with a wittiness as deep as the Vancouver Bay. His unmatched strength and affection awed us, and his peculiar quirks kept our days exciting.
His morning missions generally began at the Retriever River, where he loved watching the warm sun dawn over the water. In contrast, I was found at the Bow Wow Bistro, scarfing down pawsome pancakes with maple syrup, waiting for the real adventure to start.
I was lost deep in thoughts about the impending Alien invasion when a low growl interrupted my breakfast. Vincent stood tall, his 170 lbs undoubtedly intimidating, blocking a strange star-shaped creature with tentacles.
Vincent’s loyalty wasn’t just bestowed on me or his adorable sister Victoria, but on Spencerville. The place had become his home and every dog, cat, or burrowing creature, a part of his family. His partiality for Vincent’s Pickle toy never interfered with his duty.
There was a strange gleam in his eyes that morning. They looked wild, wilder than when he’d run through his ‘backyard haven’ or broke into kitchen cupboards, letting pasta and flour spread like an artist’s palette on the floor. Neither did he seem like he would indulge in the pleasure of ear cleaning protest or retreat towards solitude, despite his sulking disposition whenever they were brought up.
He was preparing for battle. His demeanor said it all, a clear message to the extraterrestrial being that disappointedly squirted a strange green fluid and scuttled away. Just like our hero, Vincent, Spencerville was not to be meddled with. The days rolled on quite episodically, Vincent at the helm of safeguarding operations from the alien invasion.
In the corner of Fur Tacos, the meeting place for our Earth’s defenders, Vincent showed us bravery. When we collected at The Pawfect Training Center, he showed us intelligence. And when we huddled at the Groom Room, hoping the invasion would not mean the end, he showed us loyalty.
There were many stories that came out from those times. Some from Retriever River, where Vincent swam for the first time battling tentacled horrors. Or at Upper Black Bulldog Bay, where Vincent strategically disrupted alien signals with help from feline forces.
Throughout the invasion, when we wavered, Vincent stood tall like an unbroken fortress. He was our strength, showing everyone in Spencerville – even in those filled with fear – that we were to be feared. That’s our Vincent, Spencerville’s hulking hero, the alien-fighting Newfoundland.
The End.
