Maya PawWord Story
“Hey crew,
Maya here, your four-legged update from Pawsburg! Spent a morning being charmed by our fav greyhound Enzo, then got caught in a storm. Tragic, I know. But guess who came to my rescue? It’s Braydon! That Beagle sure knows how to make a girl swoon. Now, drying off over Pupperoni Pizza & soaking in this paranormal romance. Life’s pawfect—minus the green apple on the pizza!
Love and barks,
The Pawsburg Prankster AKA Maya”
“Why, hello there. It’s me, Maya. Welcome to Pawsburg, my humble and delightful abode when my owners are off doing their human business. My existence here is as eventful as it is unpredictable, a real blend of the cozy and the exciting, the serene and the extraordinary. Let me tell you a whimsical little tale about my paranormal romance in this unusual town.
It was a gloriously sunny day in Pawsburg. The sun winked over the South Siberian Summit as I trotted my way to the East Pug Palace. As per my morning ritual in this enchanted town, first on my agenda was breakfast. Pupdazzling peanut butter on a crunchy doggy bagel from Pup-Tizers, ah, the thought itself sent my tail wagging.
Walking past The Furry Friends Art Gallery, I saw Enzo, the majestic greyhound who is to me like Kim to Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon. Just thinking of him got my furry heart fluttering. But, oh no! The skies quickly turned grey, and the rumble of a distant storm summoned my dread. I whimpered as I dashed for cover under the Happy Hounds Dog Walking Station, leaving my peanut butter goodness behind!
Huddled under the roof, rain pouring around me, I felt my heart pound in the rhythm of the falling drops. That’s when I saw him. Braydon, a mesmerizing Beagle, an umbrella strapped to his back, marching through the torrent in my direction. Yes, Braydon, the infamous paranormal operative of Pawsburg, the one known to have control over the elemental forces…and also the current heartthrob of East Pug Palace!
Seeing him stride my way, I forgot my fear of the storm. He looked at me with his enchanting eyes and said, “I heard you need rescuing, Maya.” Oh! His voice. Loved how he cooed my name. Best believe, the fluttering turned into a fireworks display.
Whisking me onto his back, the storm seemed to listen to him. The rain fell softer, the thunder grumbled lesser. We found shelter in Pupperoni Pizza, sharing a Margherita with extra cheese, minus those disgusting green apples, of course.
Sublime, the complexities of paranormal romance. The fear, the thrill, Braydon swooshing in all mysterious, me falling head over paws for him, this right here was my very own 30 Rock episode, sans the sarcasm but full of Fey nuances of love, life, and something beyond our doggy understanding.
Sure, Pawsburg has its quirks and kinks. There are fears to confront, friends to enjoy, peanut butter delights to relish and my Braydon to swoon over. But, just like the sassy Ms. Fey would say, “You can’t be that kid standing at the top of the water slide, overthinking it. You have to go down the chute.” In my case, the chute being thunderstorms, Braydon, and Pawsburg, an excitingly adventurous combined package!”
The End.
