Chloe PawWord Story
Hi Mom,
Just your fast-footed, treat-chasing Golden Retriever, Clodog. I’m having tail-waggingly good adventures in Spencerville. Basking in sun-dappled warmth near Golden Retriever River, tasting chicken from Doggy Bagel Deli, and winning fetch contests daily. Dining’s more my style here – ribs, bananas, ice creams, you name it. My new partners, Abby and Pebbles, are ace buddies, and we spend our evenings enjoying Spencerville sunsets. Miss you and Betty like crazy, but don’t worry, it’s a dog’s life and I’m loving it!
Woofs and Licks,
Chloe
Well, would you look at the radiant Boston fur, draped in an expertly tailored suit of black and white. It’s me, Chloe, presently residing in the divine serenity of Spencerville. Picture it, a near perfect realm where a dearly departed dog like me enjoys a human-esque existence. Telegraphing messages of barks and dances, ever ready for the unexpected fetch, banter, and the waggling tails; it’s game on, always.
There’s a reason they call Golden Retriever River so. It gleams bright like the fur of its namesake under Spencerville’s sun. Graced by the melodious babble of its rippling waves, I often find myself sprawled lazily over the banks, the near-scent of that stir-fry chicken from The Doggy Bagel Deli wafting across the water. Divine, you might agree. A whiff, and I am walking over like a hypnotized hound, my stomach grumbling approvingly.
Ah, the beloved tennis balls and treat balls, you see, they are my sort of precious stones. As sleek and athletic as I am, chasing one down, oh it sends lightning bolts of happiness zapping through my doggy veins. That’s what fetch does to me. A single rustle, a quick sprint, and before you know it, I’ve caught the darn thing. Victory? I dare you to find a better exponent of the sport!
Dining, or should I say, gorging on juicy beef ribs, fresh bananas, scrumptious cherry tomatoes, and dabbling in an occasional treat of yogurt: it’s more my style than any snooty silverware event. I simply cannot resist a good bowl of luscious ice cream after a round of hearty run. “Mouthwatering,” you might say.
Imagine lounging on the warm sands of Brown Boxer Beach, watching the breathtaking Spencerville sunset, with Abby and Pebbles by my side. A perfect end to another splendid day. Ah, just the three of us, bathed in the stirring hues of twilight against a cyan canvas. The only thing missing, my sister, Betty.
Alas, the charm of Spencerville soothes the sting of separation. Swapping tales about chewed up shoes, wild squirrel chases, and, of course, the detested baths and loud noises. We’ve made it through together.
Ah, this fetching town, it has my heart now, and though I miss my previous human companion, your face, etched ever so vividly in my memory, reassures me, we’ll meet again, on another sun dappled day, on another warm beach, under another idyllic sky. Can’t wait to see you then.
The End.
