Teddy PawWord Story
Hey Mom, it’s your favourite son, Ted. Just another night in Pawsburg, sipping chocolate milk, chasing shadows, and stopping Daisy from eating evidence. Oh, and I almost saved the world. No biggie. Love, Teddy Bear.
So there I was, Teddy, the fiery-red Siberian husky in the heart of Pawsburg, my blue eyes sparkling with the reflection of North Chihuahua Castle. The adventure had started as usual, after my human sank into her daily unconsciousness. It was time for the chocolate milk, and quick.
I sprinted over to the Bone Appetit, my favorite late-night haunt. I leaned over the counter, ruffling my fur to give off the aura of casual disregard. The waiter, a snooty poodle, raised a perfectly groomed eyebrow. “The usual?”
“The usual,” I said. And so, it was another evening of savoring my odd favorite drink in my favorite town, while casting wary glances at the rain dribbling down the windows.
Suddenly, through the misty windows, I saw a shadow dart into Lower Golden Gate Gardens. Now, I’m not naturally suspicious. Bored, I guess. My fur rippled with the thrill of a potential adventure. But I still had my half-drunk mug of chocolate milk to finish. What to do…and then the mysterious figure snuck into The Tail Wagger’s Tailor.
Goodbye, chocolate milk. Maybe in another life, we could have existed happily.
In a dash, I was out the door, nearly knocking over Cricket who was making her way in, probably for a heap of kebabs. She gave an annoyed bark. “What’s your rush, Teddy?”
“Just saving the world,” I yelled back, my paws already taking me past Bulldog Bay and towards the Tailor shop.
As I snuck into the shop, I saw the figure who turned out to be, surprise, surprise, my friend Daisy, busy chewing on a piece of cardboard marked “evidence.” I sighed, rolling my eyes and said, “Daisy! Could you not eat the evidence for one day?!”
Her response, a look that clearly said, “I must do as my stomach commands, Teddy. You of all dogs, should understand.”
And just like that, whimsy drenched night morphed into yet another adventure. The smell of vegetables lingered in the air triggering a gag reflex. But the joy of a thrilling night in Pawsburg was still strong and I, Teddy, was at the center of it all.
And as I exited The Tail Wagger’s Tailor shop, a few half-chewed pieces of evidence in tow, Sunny trotted up to me, probably getting a late-night check-up at the Wellness Center. A quick exchange about favorite chew toys and the mystery figure, and we were ready, ready to solve another mini-mystery in our fantastic world of Pawsburg.
So remember folks, it’s not just bones and parks anymore, not in Pawsburg. It’s mystery, adventure and, of course, a hearty supply of chocolate milk.
The End.
