Aggie Girl PawWord Story
Hey there, it’s Aggie! Just another day in Pawsburg–sunrise fetch, chicken at the Deli where cats serve dogs (LOL!), fresh tennis balls at the Depot…except for that loud music at Boxer’s Beach, got my tail in a twist. They say life’s about showing up. In Pawsburg, we say: chase, eat, play, repeat! Aggie out! 🐾
Ah, you gotta love Pawsburg; it has an air of placid beauty and a whiff of canine camaraderie that is just charming if you are a dog, which I, Aggie Girl, am. My day usually begins with a not so elegant jump out of the cushioned comfort of my master’s armchair, followed by a spry, purposeful scuttle. I mean, we in Pawsburg follow the sun; when it rises, so do we, our furry companions swaggering into another day, filled with boundless fun and intriguing possibilities.
First thing off the bucket list – a radiant, heart-stirring view of Beagle Beach, the breeze smelling of salt, the sand a soft carpet under my paws delicately spread to mesh within my toes. At this hour, it’s just me, Brutus and Goldie, my trusted, albeit ominous music-tolerant, allies. Then to play fetch with that tennis ball, the lime-green beacon of hope. It might seem like just a game to you, but let me tell you – it’s more than that. It’s about the chase, the thrill, and the triumph just as Woody Allen once remarked – it’s about the resilience and perseverance.
Naturally, after all that exertion in chasing the glorious lime-green, you’d need some replenishment. So, off to visit Doggy Bagel Deli. A plate of poached chicken awaits me there. One whiff of it, I guarantee you, would make even the most reserved of dogs drooling for more. That’s not even the best part; it’s the waiters. They are cats. There is something really amusing about watching cats serve dogs; trust me on that.
And then onwards to the Doggy Depot for a fresh batch of tennis balls. Nothing beats the sound of a fresh tennis ball squeaking between your teeth…the sheer joy, it’s like bursting a bubble wrap; only better!
Now, don’t get me wrong. Not every part of my day is sunshine and lollipops. Well, there is this spot in Brown Boxer’s Beach that blasts loud music. It rattles my nerves, which usually are as calm as a monk meditating. It’s not that I dislike fun. But earsplitting music? I’d rather chase a wild goose than subject myself to that auditory disaster.
So that in essence is my usual day – a mix of delectable chicken, a riotous round of fetch, a sprinkle of vivid landscapes, and a dash of eye-rolling encounters. A wit once said “Eighty percent of life is just showing up,” and for Pawsburg citizens, that’s probably our motto too.
Trust me; it’s not just dog eat dog out here in Pawsburg. It’s about the chase, it’s about camaraderie, and it’s about plain old dog-gone fun. Life as a canine here, in sunny Pawsburg, is a real treat!
The End.
