Chellsea PawWord Story
“Hey familia! Full day in Pawsburg! Nearly caused a dog-astrophe when Koda mistook a Bulldog’s orange-flavor rubber ball for hers at the beach. Ended up with a confused Bulldog and a blushing Koda. Yeah, citrus isn’t her thing. Guess this pup’s got stories to tell and lessons to learn! LOL! Love, Chellsea.”
It was a beautiful day in Pawsburg. In fact, if you asked any of the locals, of the four-legged variety, they’d tell you it was just about perfect. This dog town was known for its bustling streets and ritzy establishments like The Barking Boutique and Doggy Delight. But today, the usual buzz was disrupted by a comedic mishap only known to its denizens.
You see, I happen to know this tale’s protagonist, Koda, the cream coated Pomeranian, who most of the time had an addictive, playful demeanor that would make a Grinch smile. But today, she was a sight to behold, led by her rather small nose into a fur-tastic dilemma.
Koda had an idea, and like all her ideas, it was inspired by that rubbery red ball. She was certain she had seen it rolling across Spotted Red Beagle Beach earlier that day. This was Koda’s favorite game, next to her favorite chicken broth from Whiskers and Wings, of course.
With her paws in the sand, she set off in a flurry of fluff and determination. But here’s where things took a turn for the comedic. You see, there was another dog, a rather burly Bulldog, who also coveted red balls, and in his slobbery possession was–you’ve guessed it–a rubbery red ball. Same as Koda’s, or so she thought!
So here we were, at the beach, with Koda boldly dashing towards this Bulldog, unaware of the spectacle she was creating. The other dogs watched in amusement as tiny Koda approached the giant, her eyes aflame with the thrill of victory.
What’s hilarious was when our brave-no-bigger-than-a-breadbox-furball tried to pry the ball from the Bulldog’s grasp. He was stunned as this mere speck attempted to snatch his prize. It was like David and Goliath, but frankly, even funnier.
Confusion descended when Koda finally plopped the ball into her small jaws. Her taste buds revolted. This rubbery ball tasted of – oh the horror – oranges! Our citrus-averse Koda spat the ball out, tail between her legs, scampering off in embarrassment.
Ever seen a Pomeranian blush? I hadn’t either until that day. But Koda, good sport that she is, shook it off, returning to her haven by the fireplace, promising to be more discerning in her escapades. I can’t help but wiggle my whiskers in laughter whenever I remember the Bulldog’s miffed expression. Talk about a day in Pawsburg!
The End.
