KOTA PawWord Story
Hey Ma,
Embracing a new life here in Spencerville – a paradise for pets like me. I get to roam around from Fawn Pug Palace to Silver Siberian Summit. Comforted by familiar smells, like Bow Wow Burgers, boy does it remind me of the ol’ farm days. Missin’ Dylan a lot, but this adventure helps the sting. I’m exploring and making tributes, like to that pesky ol’ vacuum. Life here is all about beginnings, not endings. Until I meet Dylan again, I’m making the most of this dog-gone blissful eternity.
Miss and love you,
Your forever pup, Kota
In this resplendent kingdom, my new abode, the vibrant tapestry of Spencerville is torn between the humdrum and the ever-insistent pulse of daily life in a realm where pets are reborn. You see, they call it the pet Heaven and rightly so, I ponder, as I saunter the paths of Western Fawn Pug Palace, my eyes drinking in the magnificent estate reserved for the regal brachycephalic breeds.
Through the sun-scorched wisdom that maps my mind, I come across Lower Silver Siberian Summit. It was a chimerical view, a hilly paradise for those Czar canines of the Russian snow. I marvelled at the beauty, but didn’t linger – for I, Kota, now a local, was on a liaison of my own.
Distinct images of Dylan flickered in my memory. The boy had grown into a man too soon, his youthful energy replaced with hardened grit. Ah, the tragedy of human life, the fleeting flow of time. Although, here in Spencerville, time held no power; it was as lax as a poodle lounging on a sunny porch.
In a quaint corner of the town, I found my refuge. The familiar whiff of grilled burgers wafted towards me from Bow Wow Burgers. A simple pleasure, yet it bordered on euphoria as it reminded me of sunny afternoons in the farm; Dylan, me and the chicken – delicious, mouth-watering, excitement-inducing chicken.
One day, I vowed, I’ll pay homage to the disdainful vacuum cleaner that always unnerved me, in the artistic space of The Barking Boutique. This would be my homage, a wooden tribute immortalising our peculiar relationship.
And so, my days passed, each one unstructured and carefree. I’d wander, I’d muse, take solace in the perfect chaos of Spencerville, yet I was not lost. I was exploring myself in a world that was nothing short of a marvel, charting my course over sandy beaches of the Black Bulldog Bay and taking in the triumphs and tribulations of fellow quadruped companions.
Even as the searing pain of missing Dylan sent ripples through my being, I found solace in this otherworldly paradise, a place that served as a reminder of my purpose.
Life, I learnt, was an endless journey, one simply exchanged universes when things grew monotonous. Just as Raya had stepped in when I surrendered to the inevitable, each life was a ripple in the vast ocean of existence, influencing another, creating beautiful symphonies of fleeting moments and shared memories. Spencerville was not about endings, it was about beautiful beginnings. I was not Kota, the Rottweiler – I was Kota, the Memory, Kota, the Loyal Companion, Kota, the Soul Forever Etched in Dylan’s Heart. Until the day I’ll meet him again, until that reunion, I’ll roam the wholesome lanes of Spencerville, living my bittersweet eternity in the paradise for passed pets.
The End.
