Oh, what’s that you’re asking? What does Queen, the royal pitbull of Pawsburg, do besides lounging on her dog bed and dining on grilled chicken? Oh darling, you’re obviously not aware. Welcome to the world of ‘The Pet Office.’

Picture this. Pawsburg. A small, dog-centric town that transforms into a hive of activity when all our human owners doze off or head to town. A perfect social scene for a friendly, regal pitbull like myself. Let me walk you through a regular day in my fur-covered life.

First stop, Shepherd Skyline. I prefer it to Bulldog Bay – sand gets in my coat, you see. Now, this skyline has, hands down, the best view in town. And, I, naturally, have the best cubicle in our office overlooking that gorgeous vista. Cue dramatic camera pan, yes, just like in those reality TV shows.

I start each day with a visit to Pupsicle Palace. Imagine a cozy, lively spot complete with tasty Pupsicles and Pupsuccinos. The grilled chicken Pupsicle? Practically a delicacy! Occasionally, I’ll grab some take-away from the Pup ‘n’ Go Taco Joint, though I always make sure it’s citrus free – not a fan of that sour flavor.

Next is work at the Pampered Pooch Salon. It’s not as frivolous as you might imagine. Actually, it’s more like a real office, but for pets. The bustling stylist corner, designer chew toys, the occasional cat – yes, that’s you, Mabel – and me, the pitbull who takes care of everything. Cue my coy camera look, a la Mindy Kaling style. Of course, sometimes it gets hectic, especially when the Happy Hounds Dog Walking team strolls in. But as they say, a queen takes everything in stride.

At the end of the day, I even manage to squeeze in some shopping for my next photo op. Snooty Snout Boutique offers great deals on chic collars and snazzy dog dresses. I know how important it is to look camera-ready in case they plan another mockumentary episode.

But it’s not always glamour and glitz. At the sign of a thunderstorm, my heart races like an out-of-control dog sled. But you know what? I’ve got my friend, Mabel, by my side and my favorite rubber bone within reach. In Pawsburg, even the Queen has to confront her fears… and the camera, of course.
