I’ve always had a soft spot for Pawsburg. Every time the humans would leave or eyelids closed, we’d take off, like that. Our owners, clueless and blissfully unaware, as they dreamt they were squirrels. Pawsburg, our canine heaven on earth, is a no-holds-barred doggone frenzy–a sanctuary for us dogs to let our ears down and truly wag our tails.

Shepherd Skyline, tan as my buddy Max’s coat, spread majestically under the cerulean sky, a sight too canine for human understanding. But the Shih Tzu Stadium is what really makes your paws all paw-sweaty–the place, a hive of Herculean huskies and pint-sized pomeranians, heaving with vibrant energy.

And then there’s the food! Just the thought of it! Pupsicle Palace with its Icy Wooflots. Bone Appetit’s steaky delights. Bark ‘n’ Roll’s pig-skin wrap stuffed with chicken liver… Oh, the palate-quaking delightful things I’d do for those!

Let me add, I’m not one to gawk at food menus. I’m an English Bulldog. I’m built like a mini tank, and my idea of a six-pack is having six peanut butter biscuits at the same time! And I’ve got this peculiar aversion towards broccoli – makes me sick to the canine stomach!

In the heart of Pawsburg, reclining under the sycamore tree at Canine Cafe is where I spent my afternoons. Basking in the sun, daydreaming about that pesky squirrel always, always out of my paw’s reach… They say the quiet ones are the most reflective, and that’s Maggie Moo for you.

I’ve got this Saint Bernard, Max. Gentle giant, big heart. And speedy Zara, the lean, mean whippet machine. We’ve pulled each other out of numerous squirrel-related catastrophes and are Pawsburg’s own three musketeers creating a rainbow of memories under the golden shine of a Pawsburg afternoon.

Have I mentioned that I’m prone to hyperbole? Is it obvious?−I met him in Pawsburg. A dashing Rottweiler named Rocco. This guy, all muscles and a mischievous twinkle in his eye, looks like he could outrun the wind. Me and dainty Rocco, we had some rough beginnings. I’m not much for loud noises, and Rocco is as loud as a terrier at a mailman convention. Plus, he enjoys playing with the squeaky toys a little too much. My duck, especially. What nerve!

How he won me over though, surprising me with a jar of peanut butter biscuits at Best in Show Photography – I fell tail over paws right then. Rocco, the unpredictable charmer, had figured out my heart’s deepest secrets.

And that’s how it began. Me and Rocco – the queen and the lovable rogue, finding our way through the wild and wacky world of Pawsburg, brushing past comedic obstacles and bringing our dynamic duet to the romantic rhythm of doggy life. Oh, Pawsburg, you cupid in canine disguise!
