Chick Cookout Catastrophe in Pawsburg: A Romantic Comedy Extravaganza: A Sally PawWord Story
Hey! Sally here, y’know, Pawsburg’s one-dog comedy show. Had a whale of a time today – Bandit goofed up his date with Princess at Kibble Cuisine, and guess who gobbled up her chicken platter? Yours Drolly, of course! Anyway, Bandit’s playing knight-in-shining-armor at Pup-Peroni now. Just chucking brussels sprouts around to lighten the mood. Can’t help keeping the town lively and in stitches, can I? Tail wags and Nose boops, your Laugh-a-lot Sally.
Times in Pawsburg were never short of rambunctious. You’d know well enough, havin’ met our fair Sally – a sweet-tread and honest pup, stout as God’s own tree stump and half as flexible in her endearing ways. It was, as could’ve been expected, a balmy summer day that the grand altercation that’s the subject of our yarn manifested.
Sally, the trailhound vigor gleaming within her fiery form, had sashayed her way to the heart of the town square, not by coincidence, mind ye, but by drawn summons of a crescendo of dog barks, cat yowls and assorted clatter. Unbeknown to her, over at Kibble Cuisine, Bandit had found himself enamored with a new creature in town.
Princess, a dainty French poodle brought in all the way from Poodle Place ’cross the ridge, was the new belle of the town. Her fur shone brighter than a silversmith’s pride, and her air of grace made the usually rambunctious Bandit as giddy as a heifer in clover. The only challenge? Bandit, sturdy in nature and cloaked in mischief, demonstrated an appetite the size of Corgi Castle itself, and had in his excitement, trotted slap into Princess’ table, upending her elegantly served chicken platter.
Now, you remember our Sally’s inclinations when she sights chicken, don’t you? Well, she bounded straight for the fallen platter, before Bandit had a chance to redeem himself, devouring the meal with the enthusiasm of a coonhound starved for a week. Bandit’s humiliation went from hair-raising to fur-straightening, addin’ a whole new chapter of love challenged comedic drama to the annals of Pawsburg.
Princess, however, was not in horror as Bandit had reckoned. She chortled, her twinkling eyes softening towards the clumsy Beagle kneeling beside her in apology. This added amusement turned the fleeting love story into a romantic comedy extravaganza. Faced with the challenge, Bandit promised to make amends, taking Princess to Pup-Peroni, the town’s gastronomic Cinderella Superstar.
All ended well when Sally, in her epic plight to shake off the last piece of brussels sprout that had somehow made its way into the commotion, swung it into the air, with it landing squarely in Bandit’s plate at Pup-Peroni. It was met, not with ridicule, but light-hearted fervor from Princess, who decided she might’ve found love among the quaint curiosities of Pawsburg after all.
Yes indeed, the turmoil of that day added romance, carved with comedy and humble love to the annals of our vibrant Pawsburg, just how it always does. Never you doubt it, Sally is our hero alright, in love and comedy both…although you wouldn’t catch her admit it, not for all the chicken in the world!
The End.
