The Canine Chronicles: A Royal Regal Romp in Pawsburg: A Kisses PawWord Story
Hey there, Kisses here, just a regular Pawsburg day! Met Norma, the photographer, while dodging Ms. Fluffy’s veggie terror all staged against the beautiful Upper Collie Canyon backdrop. She thinks I’m photogenic! Engrossed in a new yellow marvel (tennis ball) now, heading for an adventure with Max and Daisy. Catch ya on the wild side! – Sir Waggington III (aka Kisses).
Well, now, it was just one of those regular Pawsburg days, you see. As is my custom, I was perched high on that hill smack dab in the center of the Pawsburg park, powerfully gnawing away at my trusty red Kong toy, just as the sun’s rays began to gently steer the day towards noon. My two buddies, Max and Daisy, they was down by the Collie Canyon, barking something about an impromptu adventure up to Upper Collie Canyon, when my attention was rudely interrupted by the jingling of the door at Dog-gone Good BBQ.
Setting my Kong aside, I squinted towards the eatery from my hilltop position, and, oh dear, it was none other than Ms. Fluffy, tottering across to the Pooched Potatoes eatery with her darn broccoli-laden holiday casserole. That woman, bless her soul, just couldn’t quite grasp the fundamental truth – broccoli, to any canine species worth his salt, is as unappetizing as a leather boot, if not worse.
With an involuntary shiver, I decided it was best to join Max and Daisy at the canyon before Ms. Fluffy took it upon herself to distribute her green monstrosities. As I took flight down the hill, I paused momentarily at The Fetching Feline Pet Emporium. Something about the array of colors in the window display catching my eye. A momentary indulgence in the form of a new yellow tennis ball would do no harm, methought.
Hurrying up towards the canyons, my gleaming chestnut coat sparkled under the bright sun. It brought me right in the eye of Norma, from Best in Show Photography. Before I knew it, I was posing against the wind, trying my darn best to look regal against Pawsburg’s iconic backdrop while Norma clicked away enthusiastically.
“Well, Kisses,” she exclaimed, “with such a royal countenance, your photo is bound to fetch us a handsome price down at the Pawfect Training Center!”
Bowled over by Norma’s unexpected appreciation, and balancing my new tennis ball precariously between my teeth, I continued on my merry way, heading up to Upper Collie Canyon, never a dull moment in my adventurous canine life. Ah, the beauty of Pawsburg.
The End.
