The Canine Chronicles: A Close Encounter in Spencerville: A Malchik PawWord Story
Hey Mom! Just another day in Spencerville – I noticed some furless creatures from a glimmery green portal trying to invade. But have no fear, I chased them away with a fetch stick and a mighty growl. Town’s safe again, and I’m off to dreamland with my fallen squeak ball. Love, Mboy.
I am Malchik, loyal boarder of Spencerville, having hailed from an Earthly life that was kindly provided by those I loved. It was a bit of an odd day in Spencerville, I must admit. The sky, usually placid, had taken on a peculiar orange hue that rubbed off uneasily on the Dalmatian Desert.
I was minding my own business, lazily gnawing on my favourite squeak ball, revelling in its symphony. When from the corner of my eye, I noticed a green glow starting to grow over Corgi Castle. I stood up, dropping my squeak ball, ears perked in alert, eyes wide. Something was amiss.
The green glow intensified, forming a sort of portal, out of which descended creatures my eyes didn’t quite comprehend. Awfully tall, skinny, with glassy orbs and no discernible fur! Aliens, invading our idyllic town!
I looked around at the baffled faces of my friends. Kahkseh was shrieking in horror, much like she does at the sight of the vacuum. Sinbad was frozen, hiding behind the Paws-A-Latte signboard. I had to do something. The stubborn part of me roared to life. I couldn’t let these extraterrestrial beings just walk into MY town.
I ran towards them, baring my teeth in a menacing growl, hoping to scare them away. And, boy, did they scramble. But, their strange devices continued to emit an ear-piercing sound, much like the delivery person’s knocking I loathed. I decided to play fetch; hurling a simulated tree branch towards their devices, using the power of my prominent canine physics.
They recoiled, taken aback by the cornered canines of Spencerville. And before the consciousness could dawn upon them, they scurried, their skinny tail-less frames disappearing into the green-shimmering portal, their loud noises fading and giving way to the disgruntled mutters of my friends.
A wave of relief washed over me. The silence echoed in my ears, a familiar and comforting presence. I looked at the deserted Corgi Castle, then at my fallen squeak ball. I trotted over to it, picked it up, retreated to my large bed, and once again got lost in its enchanting symphony.
Here in Spencerville, amidst the comforting hum of The Cat’s Meow Sushi and Pupperoni Pizza, under these skies that housed constellations only we understood, we were safe once more. And so, with a sigh of relief, in my cozy bed in the woods, the adventure ended. With strange dreams in my head and a fallen squeak ball as my companion, I dozed off to the sound of my own little symphony. Such grand adventures we share, here in Spencerville.
The End.
