“Spencerville. My town! Bright sunsets would bounce off the Southern Golden Retriever River, the East Bulldog Bay’s waves would hiss softly against the sandy banks and the Maltese Meadow would gather dew drops each morning as I passed by. As splendid as the quiet town was, it had taken my heart by storm, and I had claimed it. You see, I’m Vincent. The brawny Newfoundland with a coat as white as the clouds above, speckled here and there with dashes of black that matched my freckle-sprinkled nose.

I lumbered along the cobblestone streets, the delightful aroma from Bark ‘n’ Roll wafting out coaxing a faint twitch from my nostrils, but I moved on, my destination elsewhere. In Spencerville, I’d found a piece of the tranquillity I used to enjoy on those solitary jaunts in the park. I cherished these leisurely walks, yet my thoughts wandered before my paws as I was reminded of those cuddle sessions with my human dad. Ahh, the good ol’ days!

The clock tower chimed two o’clock in the afternoon, announcing my appointment at Spa for Paws. I was not partial to the fuss, but the rain dance I did when leaving the place as fresh and silky was definitely a sight to behold!

By the arc of the sun, I knew it was time. Shuffling my way towards The Woofy Bakery, I could hardly contain my excitement, my tail wagging its own merry jig. There, nestled in its special perch, lay my most cherished item, the dental bone.

My musings had led me right home to my beloved sister Princess Victoria. Her gaze bore into my soul, a reflecting pool of the eerie wisdom inherent in her being. Although her gentle heart concealed a shrewd mind, she was my family, my companion.

Later that evening, I played with my pickle toy. An unusual choice, you’d think. But it’s the anticipation and the rumble in my belly that keeps the excitement alive as the treats tumble out, rolling along the wooden floors of my temporary abode – the Fetch! Toys and Treats shop.

The twilight in Spencerville is a sight to behold. As the stars twinkle in the sky, I make my way to the beach. The cold, sandy surface beneath my paws is not a sensation I welcome; rather, I sit at the edge, gazing towards the place where the sky intertwines with the sea.

I wasn’t a hero who’d save the world from a dangerous villain, no.
