Vincent PawWord Story
Hey Mom&Dad,
Had another busy day. Checked off morning visit to Eastern Pug Palace and nabbed my fave sea-bass taco from Whiskers and Wings – still have the seafood allergy, so got the best alternative.
Remember our pickle toy? I saw one and it made me think of my old past. Checked in at the Furry Friends Art Gallery. The cherry blossom painting Victoria loved is still there. Jack was there too. He still thinks he’s alpha. Quite cute.
Ran into that suspicious cabinet where my past pasta and flour burglary evidence is stashed. Yeah, those were the days.
Being home on the couch with Princess Victoria is the best part of the day. Dental bone rounds it off quite well. A dog’s life in Spencerville, you know? Sure, I miss you, but I’ve got my routines and family to keep me company.
Love,
Bear Cub
Vincent leans against the camera, his droopy, brown eyes staring into the lens, his gruff voice echoes in a low growl as he begins narrating.
“I may not have an actual office job, but I take every aspect of my life seriously. Morning constitution at Eastern Pug Palace? Check. Coffee at Sniff ‘n’ Snack? Check. Tailored attire from Tail Wagger’s Tailor? Double-check.”
He beams proudly before lumbering towards East Pug Palace. Crossing paths with energetic pups darting around him, Vincent, unperturbed, remains diligent in his mission.
“Duty always calls and the Canine Conglomerate of Spencerville knows my worth. Reliable and vigilant unlike those frolicsome pups.”
By mid-morning, he’s seated on a bench outside Whiskers and Wings, a sea-bass taco and a bowl of biscuits in front of him. He noses the camera, a sigh escaping him, “Look, it’s not sushi, but I have this seafood allergy situation, and they have the best alternatives in town.”
Catching sight of a pickle toy in a shop window, his expression softens, “It isn’t much, yet that’s my little past there, all stuffed in a toy.”
A little while later, he’s marching into the Furry Friends Art Gallery. He greets every canine, making his way to a painting of cherry blossoms, his sister’s favorite. He sighs, “Victoria did always love the blossoms.” A fondness tinting his voice.
Suddenly a husky prances by, the camera pans, following his movements. “Oh, that’s Jack, an absolute chatterbox. He’s under the impression he’s an alpha, it’s cute.” Vincent laughs, causing a few paintings to tremble in the vibrato.
After his gallery sojourn, he heads back home, suddenly pausing, a suspicious cabinet coming into the view. “Here’s where evidence of my pasta and flour burglary is stashed. Not my proudest moment, but you gotta find joy wherever you can.”
Back home on his beloved couch, he cuddles close to Princess Victoria. The two large canines effortlessly fill the frame, “No desert, no beach, not even that noisy farm could ever beat this.”
Last stop of the day? Dental bone from Pet Partners Pet Supplies. “The quintessential part of my day, really,” he murmurs, eyes half-closed in satisfaction.
As the lens fades to black, Vincent’s calmness pervades the frame. “So that’s it. A dog’s life in Spencerville, folks. Sure, I miss dad, but we’ll be reunited one day. Until then, I have my routines, my family, my own little world. And for now, that’s enough.”
The End.
