Millie PawWord Story
“Hey Mom, it’s Bubba ๐. You wouldn’t believe it! ๐พ The wind was playing in the Westie Woods today ๐. The smell of sausage rolls from Waggle n’ Wok, Yappy Yogurt’s pineapple yogurt special ๐, too hard to ignore! Got the pack together for a daring adventure ๐พ๐พ๐พ. A pre-dinner run to Pawsitively Purrfect? Sure, why not! Besides, remember that fancy ๐ช๐บ European ear cleaner we saw on aisle 6? I thought getting one might not be a bad idea. ๐ Yeah, the dreaded D-day is tomorrow, but this might help soften the blow. Love, Me-Me.”
It was another gusty day in Spencerville, each whirl of wind making the leaves in Eastern White Westie Woods rustle, tickling Millie’s perpetual fancy. Oh, how she loved that sound – it was like a seductive Siren’s song luring her into an adventure. East of the woods came the aroma of freshly baked sausage rolls from Waggle n’ Wok. Millie’s ears pricked up, the enticing smell hitching a ride on the fervid ventoinha; that alone was worth the heist.
“Ok, to the uninitiated,” I said, looking at Millie who was preoccupied with the equally intriguing aroma from Yappy Yogurt’s pineapple yogurt special, “this might look like a simple B&E into Pawsitively Purrfect Pet Store, but it’s mucho mรกs, my friends.”
“Right?” I continued, looking at Henry and Shiloh while we huddled in disguise at the Woof and Whisker Wellness Center. Henry was busy mapping out the store’s layout with a chewed-up dog biscuit, while Shiloh kept scanning for abnormal cat activities.
“But when have we ever backed down from some quality mischief?” I asked, trying to gauge their reactions. But they were made up of tough meat, my accomplices, just like our target – that massive mountain of sausage rolls and canned chicken in aisle 3.
Millie sighed, her tail wagging to an unknown symphony, her brown eyes gleaming with the thought of culinary delights. I knew she was just humouring me. No words necessary, her waggy tail was the affirmation I needed.
But alas! Reality was a cold puddle, and we were about to take that jump. Ear cleaning was on Millie’s schedule for tomorrow. She was already sulking as the dreaded D-Day was approaching.
“Hear me out, Millie,” I pleaded, prying her out of doomsday despair, “We accomplish this, we score you that ultra-soft, European-imported, ear cleaning solution from aisle 6. No more waxes, no more discomforts.”
Letโs be honest, it tickled her interest. Faster than you could say โSpencervilleโ, we put our pet-sized berets on and slipped into stealth mode, just like we learnt from the neighbourhood squirrel.
The heist? Oh, it was just another day in the charming life of Millie – our vivacious, endearing food-loving, fearless Cavalier. And that, my friend, was another riveting prequel to Millie’s Legacy in Spencerville.
The End.
