Vincent PawWord Story
“Hey Mom and Dad, living the doggie dream! BFF Princess Victoria and me are the talk of the town here in Spencerville. I’m now an expert guide at Happy Hounds, leading the canine squad with style. Bark Burgers can’t match your cooking, but their salmon biscuit is a good second. Life’s pawsome! Love, your Bear Cub.”
Oh, here we are again, in the bustling little corner of the world known as Spencerville. The place where characters are as colourful as Dalmatian Desert at sunset and stories flow as crisp as a perfectly poured soda from The Fetching Deli. If you ask me, it’s spots of indulgence like these that makes this town the perfect slice of heaven one might cherishingly call home. The rhythm of daily life is dreadfully charming, like listening to the tune of the wind rustling through the South Siberian Summit, it courses through your veins with uncanny comfort.
That chap who made the trip to the white sandy beach, scaled the arid desert, only to skedaddle at the sight of the bustling farm was none other than our Vincent. He’s as reliable as an old boot but not half as charming, wearing his heart on his fur.
A good chap, Vincent takes care of work as easily as he takes care of a chompstick. He likes his work, he does. You see, over at Happy Hounds Dog Walking, Vincent has made himself quite indispensable. He’s as steady as you like, never missed a day even if there was a tempest brewing. He seems to have an innate affinity with the other critters. No one quite knew why, but the sight of Vincent traipsing down with a veritable queue of doggies trailing behind him was as common and comforting as the morning paper.
Late in the evenings, he can be found lounging at Bark Burgers or Whiskers and Wings, princely appetite satiated to the heart’s content. Ah, Vincent’s favourite– the salmon biscuit. *In hindsight, his picky palette and inevitable allergies made us wonder if he had been a royal in the past life. Not the spoilt kind, mind. The gourmet kind*.
As for his own company, he held a sort of a sworn fraternity with a Saint Bernard, someone called Princess Victoria. But the crowning jewel of our Vincent’s heart remains his human family who took him in when he was but a glimmer – shunned and alone.
Yes, the “Daily Life at Work – Doggy Edition,” as they call it around here, is quite entertaining. We got love, drama, comedy and who knows maybe a bit of horror if someone’s brave enough to tread those uncharted territories. But at the end of the day, it’s all about these blokes, mates and pals, silhouettes against the setting sun, here, in our beloved Spencerville. A fine tale, if I say so myself.
The End.
