Millie PawWord Story
“Hey Mom, battled the vacuum dragon this AM, took flight to Pawsburg: glorious barking ground. Ate my fav, Chicken Ala Paws, charmed some fluffballs at the Castle, shared my heroic tale. Tonight, confronted wave vacuums at Red Beagle Beach. Verdict: Millie’s Pawsburg is one wild, waggy ride. Licks and tail wags, – Your Tricolored Goddess ”
Millie, an Olde English Bulldogge with spheres of sky blue and earthy brown for eyes, awoke to the rising sun in Pawsburg. She stretched out her stout little legs only to be rudely interrupted by the dreadful drone of her archnemesis, the vacuum! (-cue laugh track-)
Abandoning her morning stretch, in a state of obviously unwarranted panic, she skedaddled from the intruder, tail tucked, treating the vacuum as if it were a vengeful dragon swooping down on Westeros—or in her case, the living room.
Once she deemed herself safe outside, far away from the tumultuousness of household chores, her blue and brown eyes spotted the gateway to her canine utopia, Pawsburg… And just as her tail began to wag rather enthusiastically, she felt an unmistakable rumble in her belly. And if Millie knows one thing in this world, it’s that adventures were best embarked on with a full tummy. (-cue laugh track-)
At the Pupsicle Palace, she gobbled down Chicken Ala Paws with a side of crunchy biscuits which was, of course, her usual. Overhead, the mellow sound of Barker Charles’s “Heavenly Howl” serenaded diners, Millie included.
With her belly fully satiated, she trotted out towards the Choco Chihuahua Castle. If there were any place in Pawsburg she could gain followers – Millie (with her irresistible charm and wit) knew it was the castle. Although, in her journey, she took a moment to admire her reflection, a tricolored goddess, in the moat.
At the court, she regaled all with tales of her escape from the ‘Dragon Vacuum,’ which left everyone from Pekingese to Poodles in stitches. Our Millie, a born raconteur! As she paraded out, she caught a wink from Sid the Sloth stuffed animal from the top window of the castle playroom. They both knew who ran this game. (-cue laugh track-)
That night, with the stars glistening above and her day of conquest behind her, she found herself housed in the metaphoric arms of Red Beagle Beach. Each wave that hit the shore sounded remarkably like the soft vacuum whir. But this time, she didn’t run or hide. She stood there, challenging the waves, mimicking a stoic queen standing on the shore facing down the armada, the vacuum of the sea, if you will. (-cue laugh track-)
In Pawsburg, either you bark or you’re barked at, and let’s be honest, Millie, she’s doing alright. As for the vacuum? Well, even dragons could be tamed. (-cue cheers and applause-) ‘Till next time, folks! In the joy-filled adventure we call, Millie’s Pawsburg!
The End.
