Sammy PawWord Story
Hey Mom,
SammyDoodleBug here reporting from Spencerville! Just an average day of canine chow, river frolics, and dodging clothing (not a fan of the tutus!). Despite having my own mansion and grub hub, I still miss you. Remember to toss a frisbee for me!
Love, SammyDoodleBug
Anywho, it was another regular day in Spencerville—not your usual everyday normal town, but one meant for us, departed pets. Yeah, that’s right, and I’m Sammy.
The sun rose over Collie Canyon, painting the landscape with hues of gold, and Cream Maltese Meadow glittered under the early morning dewdrops. A soft breeze wafted through the town, carrying delicious aromas from Bark Burgers and Tail Waggers, our local grub hubs.
“Morning, Sammy! Ready for a day of snooping around?” That was Randy, the resident rabbit, popping out from his burrow right next to my house, or more like my mansion. Could you believe it? Your doggo got his own mansion now!
So, being the foodie that I am, I decided to kickstart my day with a breakfast of champions – chicken nugget, Cookie Crumbles, and hot Pooched Potatoes: my favorite trio. Chewing slowly to savor every bit, I pondered over my day ahead. A visit to Spa for Paws was definitely on the cards; I mean, who doesn’t love a little self-care?
“Breakfast in Drop-the-Treat Diner? Oh, you spoil yourself, Sammy!” chirped Freddy, my loyal parakeet friend, landing on my shoulder. He always sounded like my little brother trying to fake my mom’s voice—but way less annoying.
With my belly full, I trotted towards Retriever River, where our little pet community— dogs, cats, birds, rabbits—gathered every day for some paddling and splashy fun. Let me tell you, there is nothing quite like catching Frisbees mid-jump!
Yet life wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows here in Spencerville. No sir. The Canine Couture Clothing was my personal nightmare. Why? Well, let’s just say the mere mention of bowties and tutus gave me hives. Can you imagine me, Sammy, in a tutu? Plus, adults lurked everywhere. Trust me, adult-age doesn’t change even when you’re ‘passed away’. But hey, consolation? No vet trips!
And as my day slowly gave way to a serene Spencerville twilight, all of us made our way to the Milkbone Mountain, where we frolicked under the diamond-studded sky. We didn’t miss our homes, thanks to the non-stop fun, but the day ended with us looking up at the sky, giving a silent bark, a soft chirp, a purr or a quiet thump of love to the people we were waiting to meet again. Weird, huh? But that’s life (or whatever this is) in Spencerville.
Okay, it’s about time for my nightly biscuit by the river. So, I’ll “fetch” you later, huh?
The End.
