Capone PawWord Story
Yo! Capone here. Led my crew on a wild goose chase through Pawsburg last night. Raided Pup-Cakes (yumm, cookies!), charmed at The Groom Room in my spiffy top hat, and raced off Muffy, that grumpy Persian. Ended with each of us snug under the stars, safe in our stories. Pawsome, as always! Barking soon, C.
Well now, you already know Capone. That playful, eager-eyed beauty, always one to fancy a game ‘o fetch with his yellow ball. He’s as loyal as the day is long, wouldn’t trade him for anything.
Now, one inky night, Capone and the gang – Dutch, Diamond, Coco and Red – decided to traipse off to Pawsburg. A place that teems with the purest of canine joy the moment we folks retreat into our slumbers.
Capone led the way, of course. When it comes to adventure, he’s as thirsty as a lost man in a desert. Wig-wagging through the backyards, off they ventured, bound for East Pug Palace as their first port of call.
Down at Pup-Cakes, they wolfed down one, two, three cupcakes, paws messy with icing, and tongues lapping with pure delight. Ain’t a thing in the world compares to this doggy delight. Cookies, Capone’s favorite, altogether shareable among good company. He’d turn his snout up at the merest hint of lettuce, though. Can blame a man for trying to sneak in some greens, but Capone ain’t have none of it.
They sneaked into The Groom Room, trying hats, sporting sunglasses and testing out the fanciest of bows. Ah, but seeing Capone in a top hat, now that was a sight to behold. Looked like an ole’ village gentleman, sporting a grin as wide as the Mississippi.
The legendary Lower Silver Siberian Summit was next – a place with views of Pawsburg that’d make a songbird weep. If you squinted, you could see the Bakery to the far left, wafts of fresh doggy donuts dancing in the air. And right in the middle of it all, Golden Gate Gardens, glittering as the morning sun painted the town gold.
Their ruckus, however, woke up Muffy, the not-so-friendly Persian who ran The Pawsome Pet Pharmacy. Capone remembered the mewling, filled with contempt as they scampered out laughing, their sense of adventure invigorated, tails held high in the air.
Towards the end, sprinkled with adventure and a side of drama, they returned. Settled down at Capone’s favorite local park, trading tales ‘neath the whiskery shadows of the leafy trees until sleep claimed their tired bodies.
Pity, how morning had to come. Dogs returned to their owners while Pawsburg gently folded away, waiting for another night of adventure, stories, and friendship. But until then, Capone had the memories, his yellow ball and the waiting game for our slumber to sneak away to his blessed Pawsburg.
And I reckon, that’s just dandy, ain’t it?
The End.
